I was eating a cookie the other day and, of course, it crumbled. Then I realized something...When a cookie crumbles, I don't look at whatever *way* it crumbles, and if I do, certainly the direction the crumbs flew or the size of the crumbs doesn't affect my mood or tell me that something is good or bad as if it's some sort of omen or sign. I'm pissed that the cookie crumbled in the first place! The obvious point of its existance was to be eaten, not to go everywhere when you pick the darn thing up.
So I've decided that since what bugs me is just that the cookie even crumbles at all, I'm not going to tell someone, "Wellll, that's the way the cookie crumbles, my friend!" No. I'm going to tell them straightforwardly, "Sometimes cookies crumble, man. It happens."
